Here is the updated guide with a new section that directly supports and justifies using \"deals\" and promotional savings keywords:

Combining home internet and cellular service allows households to eliminate separate mobile phone bills while streamlining monthly utilities. Xfinity Mobile, operated by Comcast, provides nationwide wireless coverage by combining Verizon's 5G network with millions of local Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots. Online promotional advertisements routinely offer new internet subscribers the chance to \"Get Xfinity Mobile on us for a year\". While the headline promise offers significant savings, unlocking this year-long credit requires enrolling in qualifying internet plans, setting up automatic billing, and understanding ongoing plan pricing. This guide explains how Xfinity's free mobile line promotion works, who qualifies, necessary equipment, and key terms to evaluate before signing up.

What Is the \"Xfinity Mobile On Us For A Year\" Offer?

The promotion provides new Xfinity Internet subscribers with 1 free line of Xfinity Mobile Unlimited (Mobile Select) for 12 months. Rather than paying the standard $30/month rate for cellular data, eligible customers receive a $30 monthly bill credit applied directly to their account for one year. This provides unlimited domestic talk, text, 50 GB of premium cellular data, high-definition streaming, and nationwide Wi-Fi hotspot access at zero monthly line charges during the promotional term.

How to Qualify and Claim Your Free Line

Before completing your purchase, follow these steps to ensure you meet all promotional requirements:

Sign up as a new Xfinity Internet customer selecting an eligible broadband speed tier (typically 300 Mbps or higher).
Add a new Xfinity Mobile Select line to your account during account checkout or within the promotional enrollment window.
Select an eligible device setup: Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) using a compatible unlocked smartphone, or purchase a new smartphone on equipment financing.
Enroll in mandatory AutoPay using a bank checking account or debit card, and activate Paperless Billing.
Complete mobile line activation via the Xfinity Mobile app using an eSIM or physical SIM card.

Current Xfinity Mobile Hardware & Plan Deals

Beyond the 12-month free service line credit, Xfinity Mobile frequently runs promotional hardware and stackable device deals to lower upfront equipment costs:

Trade-In Promotions (\"On Us\" Phone Deals): New and existing customers who opt for higher-tier plans like Mobile Plus can get flagship smartphones (such as current iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, or Google Pixel models) fully covered or heavily discounted via monthly bill credits over 36 months when trading in an eligible device.
No Trade-In Budget Phone Discounts: Subscribers who do not have a phone to trade in can often score budget 5G smartphones at $0/month or deeply discounted rates simply by opening a new line on an equipment payment plan.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Cash-Back / Credits: Customers who bring their own unlocked device avoid hardware debt entirely while stacking the $0/month promotional line rate for maximal annual savings.
Smartwatch & Tablet Bundles: Xfinity Rewards members and bundled accounts can frequently access additional device discounts, such as 50% off select tablets or up to $300 off smartwatches when adding new device lines.

How Xfinity Mobile Plans Work

Xfinity Mobile operates exclusively as a benefit for Xfinity broadband customers. The two primary plan structures include:

Mobile Select ($30/mo standard; $0/mo for Year 1): Includes 50 GB of premium 5G/LTE data per month (throttled during heavy congestion thereafter), 15 GB of mobile hotspot usage, HD video streaming, and Global Travel Pass international connectivity.
Mobile Plus ($45/mo standard; $15/mo for Year 1): Upgrades coverage to unlimited premium data, 4K video streaming, 50 GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data, included Lifetime Device Protection, and phone upgrades anytime.

Understanding Terms, Conditions, and Fine Print

While saving $360 on cellular service over 12 months offers strong value, subscribers must review specific operational terms:

Required Internet Service: Xfinity Mobile requires an active residential post-paid Xfinity Internet account. If you cancel your home internet service, an additional $10 to $25 monthly access fee per line applies to your mobile bill.
Automatic Roll-Over in Month 13: After the initial 12-month promotional credit ends, the line automatically renews at the standard rate (currently $30/mo for Mobile Select or $45/mo for Mobile Plus).
Mandatory AutoPay & Paperless Billing: Failing to maintain active AutoPay or paperless billing invalidates promotional credits and increases monthly account totals.
Taxes and Fees: Local governmental taxes, regulatory fees, and activation costs (if applicable) are not covered by the monthly $30 credit and will appear on your bill.
Limit One Discount: The 12-month promotional discount is limited to one free line per residential account. Additional lines added to the account are billed at standard plan rates.

Key Benefits of Xfinity Mobile Bundles

Zero-Contract Flexibility: Neither Xfinity Internet nor Xfinity Mobile requires long-term service contracts, letting you alter plans without early termination fees.
Verizon 5G Network Access: Operates on Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband and LTE networks across the country.
WiFi PowerBoost: Automatically boosts wireless speeds up to 1 Gbps when connected to home Xfinity Gateways or 20+ million secure Xfinity hotspots nationwide.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): Avoid new phone hardware debts by porting your existing unlocked iPhone or Android smartphone.

How to Compare Carrier Converged Options

Before committing to a bundled home internet and cellular provider, evaluate key market parameters:

Out-of-pocket costs for device activation, equipment rentals, and local taxes.
Ongoing pricing of both home internet and mobile lines once introductory rates expire.
Inclusion of hotspot allocations, streaming perks, and international roaming features.

Common Questions

Can current Xfinity Internet customers get the free mobile line?

This specific 1-year free line deal is primarily aimed at new Xfinity Internet subscribers. Existing internet customers should check their account dashboard or the Xfinity app for existing-member upgrade promotions.

Can I keep my current phone number when switching to Xfinity Mobile?

Yes. You can port your existing mobile phone number over from carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon during activation.

What happens if I cancel my Xfinity Internet plan during the first year?

Because Xfinity Mobile requires active home internet, canceling broadband service removes the monthly credit and incurs an additional monthly line fee.

Steps to Claim and Activate Service

Visit Xfinity’s web portal and choose an eligible home internet plan.
Add the Mobile Select plan ($0/mo for 1 yr) to your shopping cart.
Complete account registration with AutoPay and Paperless Billing enabled.
Receive your SIM card in the mail or opt for instant eSIM setup on compatible devices.
Activate your line via the Xfinity Mobile app to begin your 12 months of free mobile service.

Conclusion

Xfinity’s \"Mobile on Us for a Year\" promotion offers substantial savings for households switching their home internet and cell service. By fulfilling AutoPay rules, maintaining active internet service, and knowing when standard pricing takes effect, customers can enjoy reliable 5G wireless connectivity with zero line charges for their entire first year.
